Introduction
Remorse
Memento Mori
Remember You’re Mortal
GMT-based clan
Not interested in joining any union. Thank you anyhow.
1.
deep and painful regret for wrongdoing; compunction.
2.
Obsolete . pity; compassion.
Remorse is the result of all the experiences I have had in previous clans. Either as leader or as member. I’ve learned from mistakes, what flaws certain systems have and how it brings a clan out of balance. In Remorse, I’ve first spoken to other people. How would you run a clan? What are it’s key features? The thoughts and ideas of different people have come together, and that is, Remorse. This is also the reason why we’ve named the clan Remorse. We consider it as a new chance for ourselves. To honor old clans. To aim for the future. To forget the mistakes from the past. To make this something nice
.
(This is mainly to relive the great moments we had in EoD. It was stupid of me to leave there, and it won't happen again in Remorse. I promise.)The Clan
At this point you probably play RuneScape for three main reasons. Friends, fun & achievements. In Remorse, we hope to make that 4 overtime : Friends, fun, achievements & the clan. Remorse will of course offer support for the others. You’ll meet new friends, you’ll have fun through our events and we support you to accomplish your goals. Shortly said : Remorse isn’t only your clan. It’s also your community. And we do our very best to make your RuneScape experience a more pleasant one.
Our clan features
daily events. Both combat, skilling and team-based activities. As this is the heart of our clan, it is mandatory for our members to come to an event if they are online. In the first place, they are fun, and secondly, they make a close group of friends of us. And you might make some GP’s on the way. Shortly : Everyone benefits from it. Of course we understand that, if you are busy IRL or go on holidays you can’t reach those mandatory events. Just warn us on forehand and there will be no trouble at all! If you fail to reach events without warning us on forehand, we have the right to kick you out of the clan if we are unhappy with you.
Every week, we also attempt to have a
theme night. This usually starts after one of our events. This could be dungeoneering, clue hunting, boss killing, barrows, … . Shortly said : one specific long event. These aren’t mandatory but they are really fun to do, as we usually don’t take things to seriously.
We want the clan to be also an ideal environment for you to also accomplish something. That’s why we will test our skills in various
competitions. Eventually against other clans, or just between our members. And of course, our events will sometimes focus on making our members stronger.
Winners of competitions will be awarded through receiving a position in the Hall of Fame!We also find the
community aspect of Remorse incredible important. As every clan we have our clanchat, but apart from that we have an
external website we’ll use. We find this website extremely important to announce news to our members or to arrange more specific events. It’s also a platform we’re able to hold official polls on and ask opinions on future changes to the clan. It also gives members the possibility to stay in touch with each other even if they are offline.
Our Goals
As any clan, we have our goals. What would Remorse like to accomplish in the future? Short- and longterm?
- We want to have a nice amount of members which are active. This way our events are always crowded and it opens up possibilities (warring).
- Warring is something we want to do in the future. Before that, a stable clan with enough members is priority. Once we have that, we can set up a warring team which can be properly and intensively trained. If fun wars get a good result, we can join the ladders.
- Become a worthy contestant in competitions. The perfect example for this, is the Jagex cup. Something we really want to work for.
- We want Remorse to become a familiar face in the (clan) community. Known for being friendly and their fair-play.
- Become a strong and long-standing community, which eventually can become bigger as just RS alone.
- We want to earn respect and status by (warring/competition) results, not by words. Please continue reading in post #2
