Herblore Habitat was a recent update on Runescape as an activity. This is a guide from the experiences i've had so far and will be updated as much as possible until I can get it right. Do not take my word for some of the methods used as it's only the first few days.So you're probably wondering why im making a guide on this new minigame already on the first day of it being released? Well upon inspecting these new items, I can reveal that they can be a great addition to
warring and
farming. If you have the requirements for this minigame then I strongly recommend you take the time to collect these items for their following reasons..
Juju Fishing Potion. Effect - 1 in 3 chance of catching a Baron shark while fishing for normal sharks. These sharks when cooked can heal 200 lifepoints and an additional 10 life points every second for 10 seconds. This stacks upto 300 lifepoints after 10 seconds. However eating 2 Baron sharks in a row doesn't stack the graduate lifepoint restoration but using brews continues the Baron shark's effect.
Juju Farming Potion. Effect - 1 in 3 chance of harvesting double herbs off a herb patch. Extremely useful if you farm herbs and if you don't, this might persuade you, especially if you can farm Torstol.
Juju Cooking Potion. Effect - You do not drink this potion. Use this on a baked potato to turn it into a strange potato to begin with. Mix Tuna and Sweetcorn into a bowl and use this on the potato to make a Juju Gumbo. These Gumbos can heal 220 lifepoints and an additional 10 life points every second for 10 seconds. This stacks upto 320 lifepoints after 10 seconds and is now the highest healing edible in the game. However eating 2 Gumbos in a row doesn't stack the graduate lifepoint restoration but using brews continues the gumbo's effect.
So you're probably wondering how to get these great new items? Well im going to explain my way of getting there, how to collect the items needed and how to make the potions. With this guide, you'll soon beable to become part of the pro unit. (y)

Using the XP Table below, it is possible to work out the Xp/Hour rates.

(60*60)/32 = 112.5
112*475 = 53,200 (53.2k) -

Catching Diseased Jadinkos.112*600 = 67,200 (67.2k) -
Catching Camouflaged Jadinkos.[big]The God Jadinkos.[/big]God Jadinkos represent the three main gods in Runescape and are the highest requirement creatures to catch here being
81 hunter. They drop vines according to their type
(e.g Zamorak Jadinkos drop Zamorak vines.) but they have the best drop rate for
all seeds. However to catch these, you must work out the combinations yourself as they are different for everyone and they change weekly.
Advantages to catching these are that you can make xp boosting potions with their vines. A
Zamorak's Favour potion will increase all Hunter xp by 10% inside Herblore Habitat. A
Saradomin's Blessing potion will increase all Farming xp by 10% inside Herblore Habitat and a
Guthix's Gift potion will increase all Herblore xp by 10% inside Herblore Habitat. These potions are extremely useful - especially the Zamorak ones as they can clock up great Hunter xp/h rates.
[big]So what now?[/big]Well now that you know the different types of Jadinkos, I can explain the best order to get your rewarding potions with minimum effort and ease. (except God Jadinkos - can't help you there.) Note that this is the order
I did, you might want to choose a different order if you think it's more beneficial to you.
Step I - Common Jadinkos. With everything that you do either on Runescape or real life, you start with the basics or foundations and that's what you should start with. After speaking to the guy in the tent, you will be given a free blossom seed. Plant this in the
vine blossom farming patch in the centre and you'll attrat these Jadinkos. Spend a while there catching these with Marasamaw plants because you'll need a stockpile of seeds. However buying Apple/Banana/Orange tree seeds on the Grand Exchange is a better solution, the other seeds are non tradable.
***Note*** - When you have collected a few herb seeds, make sure you plant Shengo and Erzille herbs as a priority. There are 2 herb patches in this place and growing herbs while you catch the required Jadinkos will save you alot of time waiting around for the herbs to finish growing. Keep checking on them though, they can and will die.
Step II - Igneous Jadinkos. Before you go hunt your Jadinkos required to get the best edibles, you might want to do a quick detour and make some
Juju Farming potions. These potions have the chance of harvesting 2 herbs everytime you "pick" at the plant. So even if you won't be using these outside of Herblore Habitat, these are quite essential inside. Attract these Jadinkos and trap them with Marasamaw plants to collect the Marble vines needed.
Mix the vines with Ugune herbs to make the potion. To execute their effect, drink a dose before you harvest. One dose is more than enough to harvest both the patches in the center, bank using the deposit box and then harvesting the little island patch as well.
Step III - Diseased Jadinkos.Ok so now you have a stockpile of seeds and some knowledge on how this minigame works. Now you must hunt the creatures that drop the secondary for your
Juju Hunter potions. These are cruicial if you are looking to obtain potions to create the new foods. Equipment needed here is a noose wand. The section earlier on in this guide explained the 4 point trick.
Now that you've collected your required ingredients, buy Juju vials from the shop and start making your Hunter potion. This requires an
Erzille herb and a
corrupt vine. Make quite a few of these potions, their effect only last 10 minutes per dose and with a decent Hunter level, you'll only collect 30-40 vines per dose.
Step IV - Aquatic Jadinkos. So you've decided that Baron sharks are the way to go? Ok we can help you with that. Attract these creatures with the corresponding plants and head south then east into the little area by the vine heading towards the island that contains the God Jadinkos. There are 3 that spawn here constantly and doesn't require you to move about at all. Easy to catch but if you're lacking Hunter levels, consider using
Scentless potions.
Once you've collected Aquatic vines, mix these in with Shengo herbs with Juju vials and you'll create your Juju fishing potions. Each dose last 5 minutes which enables you to catch anywhere between 2-8 Baron sharks.
(tested with 84 fishing) They give the same experience as normal shark fishing and the same experience for cooking them as well.
Step V - Cannibal Jadinkos.Cannibal Jadinkos drop the plant teeth as their primary drop which is used to make cooking potions which create the Juju Gumbos. Attract these with the right combination and head south to catch them. These are quite scattered out so catching them might be a bit of a challenge which you've probably guessed - there isn't a "good" spot to catch these.
Mix plant teeth in with a Shengo herb to create a
Juju Cooking potion. Use a dose of this potion on a cooked potato to create a Strange potato. Mix tuna and sweetcorn in a bowl and add the strange potato to the bowl. This is how you create Juju Gumbos. The drawback with this is that you only create 1 Gumbo per dose so you make alot of these requires alot of camping and alot of herb growing. Use Juju farming potions to maximise your chance of more herbs per harvest.
[big]Conclusion.[/big]Well all in all, it's worth going through all this if you can endure the time to collect these new foods. They can help tremendously. There are other rewards in this minigame such as Mining and Woodcutting potions but you'll just have to find the rest of the rewards by yourself!
